Love counts

If it’s true then
you’re no good
and not good for me
and you love yourself
hundred times more than
you ever have loved and will
love me. So if it’s all true, would
it make any difference for me?
If you make me happy, or if
you make me sad, if I love
you or if I not love you.
That’s what matters.

When I’m unhappy and cry,
you are sad and unhappy too.
And when I at times talk about
breaking up, ’cause all troubles
around us tear me apart, your
voice breaks and gets weak and
you say faced with losing me
you feel like you’re standing
with one foot in your grave,
and then you can’t sleep
at night. I know that love
is not all. But here is
love and it matters.
Love counts.
